His teaching centers on expressive honesty, technical freedom and the physical reality of singing, helping students discover not only what their voices can do, but who they are as performers. Why Linfield Music
Anton values Linfield’s ability to offer an uncommon level of individual attention and opportunity. The department’s scale allows students to perform frequently in solo, workshop and ensemble settings, while being supported by a close-knit faculty and student community. This environment fosters both artistic risk-taking and personal growth, giving students access to experiences that would be rare at larger institutions.
Who thrives here
Students who are curious, open-minded, and willing to take risks tend to thrive in Anton’s studio. He works especially well with students eager to explore beyond a single style or comfort zone and who are motivated to grow through experimentation, collaboration and disciplined work.
Beyond the studio
Originally from Moscow, Anton maintains a deep engagement with Russian vocal repertoire and diction and remains active as a performer and advocate for humanitarian causes. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, he has helped produce benefit concerts raising more than $40,000 for Ukrainian medical relief organizations. Outside of music, he enjoys fine furniture making, hiking, fishing and tabletop games.
